Privacy Policy

Effective July 2026

The short version: KaviNote collects no data. Your voice is processed entirely on your iPhone and never transmitted anywhere. Your notes stay on your device. There are no accounts, no analytics, no ads, and no third-party SDKs. The App Store privacy label is "Data Not Collected."

Audio and speech

KaviNote uses your iPhone's microphone and Apple's on-device speech recognition (with on-device processing explicitly required) to transcribe what it hears and match it against your own saved notes. Audio is processed in real time and is never recorded, stored, or sent off the device — not to us, not to Apple's servers, not to anyone. The matching model (MiniLM) also runs locally via Core ML. KaviNote works fully in airplane mode.

Your notes

Notes are stored locally on your device. If a version of KaviNote enables iCloud sync, notes sync only through your personal, private iCloud database, which belongs to your Apple account, is encrypted in transit, and is technically inaccessible to us.

What we collect

Nothing. KaviNote has no user accounts, no analytics, no crash-reporting SDKs beyond what Apple provides system-wide (which you control in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics), no advertising identifiers, and no tracking of any kind.

Purchases

Pro subscriptions are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive your name, email address, or payment details. Apple's handling of that data is described in Apple's privacy policy.

Third parties in the room

KaviNote does not use or embed:

What Apple collects

Apple provides system-wide analytics that any app on iOS can participate in. This includes crash data and performance metrics. You control this at the OS level: Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics. If you toggle off "Share iPhone Analytics," KaviNote won't contribute to Apple's aggregated diagnostics (and neither will any other app).

Children

KaviNote is not directed at children under 13. If we learn that someone under 13 has an account, we would delete it. If you believe a minor's data is in KaviNote, contact support.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. We'll post the new version here with an updated "Effective" date. If changes are material, we'll notify users in the app on next launch. Your continued use of KaviNote after a change means you accept the new policy.
